ISO 19403-3: 2017 specifikon një metodë provë për të matur tensionin sipërfaqësor të lëngjeve me një metodë optike duke përdorur rënien e varëses. Metoda mund të zbatohet për karakterizimin e materialeve të lëngshme të veshjes. Zbatueshmëria mund të kufizohet për lëngje me reologji jo-Njutoniane [1].
