Standard SSH EN 13814-1:2019 “Safety of toys and amusement equipment - Part 1: Design and manufacture”

This standard specifies the minimum safety requirements for the design, calculation and manufacture of equipment, which is installed permanently or temporarily, in playgrounds or in various locations, which may be used by children during their leisure time, such as roundabouts, swings, boats and structures for trampolines. The standard does not include safety requirements for central stands, scaffolding used in construction, trampolines used in swimming pools and simple play equipment that can hold up to three children. For equipment that is not included in the requirements of standard EN 13814-1, the relevant standards apply, and the safety requirements for the health of workers apply according to national regulations.
