Ky dokument përcakton klasat e standardizuara të të dhënave në një Format të të Dhënave të Transportit Global (GTDF) dhe mjetet për t'i menaxhuar ato.
Aplikimi dhe kontrolli i aksesit i bazuar në role te burimet në GTDF janë specifikuar në përputhje me certifikatat IEEE 1609.2.
Ky dokument specifikon GTDM si një aftësi ITS-S e cila është një veçori opsionale (aftësitë e ITS janë të specifikuara në ISO 24102-6).
Modeli i të dhënave të kontrollit të aksesit GT (GTAC) specifikon lejet e aksesit në të dhënat dhe kontrollin e funksionit duke përcaktuar mekanizmat e bazuar në role.
Modeli i të dhënave të monitorit të funksionit GT (GTFM) specifikon një metodë konfigurimi për të gjeneruar një logjikë të rrjedhës për qëllime monitorimi, p.sh. duke respektuar parametrat e të dhënave në lidhje me një kufi të përcaktuar.
