Today, on January 22, 2021, at 11.00, the meeting of the DPS Technical Board was held.
In the context of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the measures taken to minimize its spread, the meeting of the DPS Technical Board was held online, on an electronic platform.
The members of the BT reviewed; Lists of standards proposed for adoption in the first 6 months of 2021 and Changes in the DPS Technical Committees (KT), which will operate during this period.
The Technical Committees that had changes in terms of new memberships were; KT 316 "Medical Equipment" and KT 215 "Respiratory and Anesthesia Equipment".
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures taken to minimize its spread, the DPS informed the members of the TC that during this period the Technical Committees covering the following areas have been engaged: TC 160 "Personal Protective Equipment", TC 205 "Inactive Medical Equipment", TC 215 "Respiratory and Anesthesia Equipment", TC 316 "Medical Equipment".
Also, during this period these Technical Committees have followed developments at European and international level by making available any new necessary publications. In this context, we highlight the adoption through an accelerated procedure of the Standardization Document __DS CWA 17553:2020 "__Face coverings (masks) for the community - Guidance on minimum requirements, testing methods and use", which was published in June by CEN - the European Committee for Standardization.
It became evident that there is a list of standards (in this field) on the official website of the DPS, which can be downloaded for free.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the Technical Board approved:
The Work Program for the first 6 months of 2021;
The Composition of the Technical Committees.
The next meeting of the Technical Board to approve the work program of the DPS for the second half of 2021 will be held in the second week of July.
