The Technical Board (TB) of the General Directorate of Standardization (DG) approves the Work Program for the adoption of standards and changes in the Technical Committees (TCs), for the second half of 2020.
In the context of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the measures taken to minimize its spread, the meeting of the DG Technical Board was held remotely.
The members of the TB were notified of the meeting date, July 10, 2020, which also marked the last day for suggestions/comments and, finally, the sending of their approval by e-mail. All communication was carried out using available Information and Communication Technology tools.
The members of the TB were sent an e-mail; Lists of standards proposed for adoption in the first 6 months of 2020 and Changes in the Technical Committees (TCs) of the DPS that will operate during this period.
One of the Technical Committees that had the most changes in terms of new memberships was TC 256 "Railway Applications", in which three new members, representatives of the Albanian Railways JSC, joined.
According to the meeting agenda item "Discussion on the proposals submitted by the Technical Board for the first 6 months of 2020", the task was to review and the possibility of repealing pure standards in the field of Food Product Analysis - Materials in Contact with Food. The relevant Technical Committee has worked by reviewing and repealing some of the standards in this field, but there is still work to be done in this regard.
During this period, comments/suggestions were received, taking care to ensure that everything was circulated and that all BT members were informed and informed.
