The agreements aim, among other things, to emphasize:
The importance of cooperation between quality infrastructure institutions and those dealing with economic development;
The importance, role and benefits that derive from close cooperation between interested parties for the latest technological developments in the field of safety and quality of products and services;
The positive impact that standards and conformity assessment procedures have on the country's economic development and on regional and international trade relations.
Also, these agreements aim to raise awareness among economic actors for their active participation (mainly experts from various business/company fields) in the Technical Committees of the DPS and in the process of drafting, adopting, approving and translating Albanian standards.
The extension of this cooperation to cities other than Tirana aims to bring the latest technology at European and International level, European and international standards for all areas of the economy closer to business and regional development structures.
In these agreements, DPS designates the signatory parties as official sellers of Albanian standards against financial terms agreed upon by the parties.
Also, in these agreements, DPS strongly encourages initiatives by individuals or various companies to contribute financially to the translation of Albanian standards into Albanian.
