DPS organized a meeting with the Kosovo Standardization Agency (KSA), regarding the description of the practices and methodologies used by DPS in the implementation of Eurocodes.
Representatives of the Kosovo Standardization Agency participated in this meeting:
• Ms. Albina Jashanica – Director of the Directorate for Standards, Promotion and Integration, and;
• Mr. Zijadin Ismajli – Senior Standards Officer.
From the General Directorate of Standardization were:
• Mr. Riza HASANAJ - Director General;
• Ms. Kostanca DEDJA – Director of the Directorate for Legal Affairs and Relations with Parties;
• Mr. Gentian Trebeshina – Head of CEN/ISO Sector
• Ms. Lindita MISHOVA – Specialist in the WTO Reference Point and Standards Sales Sector.
During the meeting, representatives of both institutions (AKS and DPS) discussed the functioning of the Technical Committee of Structural Eurocodes as well as the successes and challenges encountered during the implementation of the Eurocodes of both countries (Albania-Kosovo).
Also, the support so far from DPS for AKS was appreciated, facilitating the possibility of AKS's participation in important regional and international standardization events, support which was emphasized as being very important for AKS and that it will continue without hesitation, confirmed Mr. Riza Hasanaj, General Director of DPS.
After discussing all the items on the agenda, the General Director of DPS Mr. Riza Hasanaj closed the meeting, wishing both AKS and DPS staff good work and a fruitful cooperation in the future for both organizations.
