Scope

This document provides a fast fatigue characterization method to obtain accurate prediction of the fatigue properties of materials in a very limited time. The method is based on the temperature evolution of a specimen which is representative to the progressive appearance of microplasticity leading to failure by fatigue.
This document applies for steels but has also been applied on a wide range of materials [2] [3] [5] [6] [7] [9] [10].
