Scope

This European Telecommunications Standard (ETS) specifies the approval tests applicable to all Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) equipment accessing the DECT frequency band 1 880 MHz to 1 900 MHz (including provisions for testing other or extended frequency bands) and the approval tests applicable to DECT speech transmission using CCITT Recommendation G.726 [14] ADPCM speech codec at 32 kbit/s.
