Ky standard evropian specifikon një metodë kompleksometrike për përcaktimin e përmbajtjes së kalçiumit dhe përmbajtjes së magnezit të materialeve gëlqerore. Nuk është i zbatueshëm për produktet me një fraksion masiv më të vogël se 2% (m/m) magnez ose ato me një fraksion masiv më shumë se 1% P2O5 dhe nuk është i zbatueshëm për materialet silikate gëlqerore.
