Scope

Ky dokument përcakton termat në lidhje me korrozionin që përdoren gjerësisht në shkencën dhe teknologjinë moderne. Përveç kësaj, disa përkufizime plotësohen me shpjegime të shkurtra.

SHËNIM 1: Në të gjithë dokumentin, zbatohen rregullat IUPAC për shenjat e potencialit të elektrodës. Termi "metal" përdoret gjithashtu për të përfshirë lidhjet dhe materialet e tjera metalike.
SHËNIM 2: Termat dhe përkufizimet në lidhje me trajtimin inorganik të sipërfaqes së metaleve janë dhënë në ISO 2080.
