Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for determining the volume fraction of the monoclinic phase in yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) produced by thermal spraying, using X-ray diffractometry, in order to evaluate the degree of degradation of TBCs used at high temperatures.
