DPS has published the SSH ISO 53800:2024 standard "Guidance for the promotion and implementation of gender equality and the empowerment of women"

The standard provides guidance on how to promote and implement gender equality and women’s empowerment. It provides guidance for organizations to develop the capacity to achieve a culture of gender equality and women’s empowerment. The guidance includes the framework, resources, policies, tools and good practices for contextualizing, promoting and implementing gender equality.

It focuses on the inequality that arises from the specific gender roles assigned to women, girls, men and boys and is applicable to all types of organizations (public or private), regardless of their size, location or field of activity.

The standard does not address specific aspects of relations with trade unions or works councils, nor country-specific regulations and compliance regarding gender diversity.
