DPS has published the SSH EN 16754:2016 standard “Artisanal ice cream and sorbet making machinery - Performance characteristics and energy consumption”

This standard specifies the requirements and test conditions for machines for the processing of artisanal ice cream, ice cream cones and other frozen desserts. It defines the performance characteristics of ice cream production machines ranging from energy consumption to production efficiency and ice cream quality.

The standard applies to professional machines with a maximum capacity of 400 liters, which serve for the production and temperature maintenance of artisanal ice cream, ice cream cones and other frozen desserts.
