This standard specifies the safety requirements for armoured face conveyors including conveyor drive units, return units, line pans, chain assemblies, devices for tensioning and locking chains, brackets for the attachment and anchoring of shifting units, control and power supply systems and furnishings, and takes account of the constraints imposed by other associated equipment.
