Fixed Radio Systems; Point-to-Point equipments and antennas; Generic harmonized standard for Point-to-Point digital fixed radio systems and antennas covering the essential requirements under article 3.2 of the 1999/5/EC Directive

Scope

The present document applies to the following digital fixed radio systems (DFRS) types: 1) point-to-point systems intended for operation in frequency bands that require co-ordination; 2) point-to-point systems intended for operation in frequency bands that do not require co-ordination; 3) antennas for point-to-point DFRS. The present document is intended to cover the provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC [1] (R&TTE Directive) article 3.2 which states that "… radio equipment shall be so constructed that it effectively uses the spectrum allocated to terrestrial/space radio communications and orbital resources so as to avoid harmful interference".
