DPS has published the SSH EN ISO 23953-2:2023 standard "Refrigerated display cabinets - Part 2: Classification, requirements and test conditions"

The SSH EN ISO 23953-2:2023 standard specifies the performance requirements for refrigerated cabinets used in the sale and display of food products and the construction characteristics that affect their performance. It specifies the test conditions and methods to check whether the requirements for their functioning are met, as well as the classification of refrigerated cabinets, their labeling and their user manual, which are declared by the manufacturer.

This standard is not applicable to automatic refrigerating equipment, commercial beverage coolers whose parameters are specified in the ISO 22044 standard and ice cream freezers whose parameters are specified in the ISO 22043 standard. This document is not intended to specify the storage temperature of food products.
