DPS / KT 9 was established in 2008 in accordance with Law no. 9870, dated 02.04.2008 "On Standardization", amended by the Internal Regulation of DPS and following the strategy of CEN / CENELEC and ISO / IEC on the establishment and functioning of Technical Committees. The members of this KT are all specialists in the field and operate in the field of services, certification bodies, university and vocational schools. The scope of this EC is the adoption of European and international standards CENELEC / IEC and ISO / IEC regarding the security requirements of electronic devices in the fields of Audio / Video, Information Technology and Communication Technology, cable networks for television signals, audio signals and interactive services, flat-screen or non-screen display equipment, Electronic systems of houses and buildings, control measurement and automation of industrial processes, etc.
One of the most important areas is the information technology covered by the IEC ISO / IEC JCT 1 EC which has developed a large number of standards in the field of information technology, the most important being the ISO / IEC 27000 series of standards for information security management systems. Also this standard is very demanded and very useful today when the Albanian government has one of its priorities information technology, setting up one of the national agencies NAIS, which is the center of all inter-institutional communication systems and manages security of communication of all state institutions.
Also e-Albania, the government portal managed by NAIS and where all citizens apply for all government documentation and services, is a portal where all data of Albanian citizens are managed and the security of storage of these data is the main object and requires a highly sophisticated and secure management system. It is this CT that covers this area of data security with standards and makes them available to stakeholders who use these standards.
Also part of these standards are harmonized standards under the directives LVD and EMC, mainly a set of standards belonging to the field of maritime navigation and radiocommunication systems, as well as regulations related to energy performance in buildings, intelligent network distribution and regulations related to Ecodesign 2009/125 / EC.
The preparation of standards for all aspects of home and building electronic systems in relation to the information society is another area covered by this EC. Applications in and around homes and buildings, including gateways to various broadcast media and public networks taking into account all EMC issues and electrical and functional safety.
