This document specifies a method)using NDIR spectrometry for  the determination of carbon monoxide (CO in the vapour phase of the  mainstream smoke with a smoking regime according to ISO 20778 (standard smoking regime).The smoking of cigarettes is carried out in accordance with ISO 20779.
