Olive oils and olive-pomace oils — Determination of the composition and content of sterols, triterpenic dialcohols and aliphatic alcohols by capillary column gas chromatography

Scope

The method describes a procedure for determining the individual and total alcoholic compound content of olive oils and olive pomace oils as well as of blends of these two oils. The alcoholic compounds in olive and olive pomace oils comprise aliphatic alcohols, sterols and triterpenic dialcohols.
