Ships and marine technology — Structural welded tubulars for wind turbine

Scope

This standard covers structural material for fixed or floating wind turbine projects and in addition, can be applied for onshore wind turbine project and other renewable energy projects provided that there is no cost increase in its application.
This standard enables efficient and economical selection of materials independent of the location of fabricators and suppliers during concept, engineering and construction phases.
This standard specifies the requirements for weldable hot rolled structural steel plates.
Material grades are given in Annex A.
Pre-qualification requirements, common for plates was developed and given in Annex B.
