Scope

Principle: bending of the leather around a mandrel of known diameter and observation of wether the leather cracks. Specification of apparatus including mandrel diameters, test pieces, procedure including determination of crack index and test report. Figures show the procedure of bending and details of the construction of the test apparatus. The method is applicable particularly to heavy leathers.
