DPS has published the SSH EN 16838:2024 standard "Refrigerated display cabinets and ice cream stands - Classification, requirements, performance and energy consumption testing"

The SSH EN 16838:2024 standard defines the classification, construction requirements, performance and energy consumption testing for:

• Refrigerators, used for the sale and display of artisanal and packaged ice cream;

• Refrigerators-freezers without display function, used for the sale of artisanal and packaged ice cream.

This standard defines the test conditions and methods to verify whether the requirements are met, the manner of their labeling, as well as the list of characteristics that must be detailed by the manufacturer.
