DPS/ KT 304 was established on 14.02.2003 and covers the preparation of standards for value management, value analysis and function analysis, Standardization in the field of digital geographic information for Europe: The Committee will produce a structured framework of standards and guidelines, which specify a methodology to define, describe and transfer geographic data and services.
The standards will support the continued use of geographic information across Europe in a way that is consistent with international use. They will support a spatial data infrastructure at all levels in Europe by creating a structured set of standards for information about objects or phenomena directly or indirectly related to a location relative to Earth.
These standards may specify methods, tools and services for data management. Data management is understood to include the acquisition, processing, analysis, access, presentation and publication of data for users and systems.
Standardization in the field of Information and Communication Technologies is another area covered by this KT to ensure that European localization requirements can be met. Localization in this context means providing software and hardware support tailored to local linguistic and cultural needs in Europe.
Also this KT deals with the standardization of terminology and the specification of facilities and services including tourism-related recreational activities offered by the tourism industry, which can be used in information and reservation systems to provide consumers with criteria for obtaining decisions.
Development of standards in the field of information and communication technologies supporting all aspects of learning, education and training. The aim of this committee is to develop, support and facilitate a more harmonized European EdTech ecosystem that gives value to all actors, users and beneficiaries of all aspects of learning technologies.
Standardization of practices relating to libraries, documentation and information centers, publishing, archives, records management, museum documentation, indexing and abstracting services, and information science.
Development and maintenance of application-specific meta standards for:
• Specification of the process (in the absence of development by other technical committees);
• specification of data with content;
• forms-pages (paper / electronic).

EDIFACT-Syntax Maintenance.
Standardization of technologies and processes involving capture, indexing, storage, retrieval, distribution and communication, presentation, migration, exchange, preservation, integrity maintenance and disposal in the field of document management applications. Documents can be managed in micrographic or electronic form.
This includes:
• quality control and integrity maintenance;
• Input/output quality of documents (micrographic or electronic)
• Implementation, inspection and quality control procedures for the storage, use and preservation of documents (micrographic or electronic), including supporting metadata;
• applications that include workflow (process management) in an enterprise and on the Internet;
• maintaining quality and integrity during the exchange of information between systems;
• procedures and processes that support legal admissibility and/or integrity and security;
• Management of relevant audit trail information.
